Okay, that sure as shit didn't go like I expected.
Things got pretty dark over the summer. It took a lot out of me, had to quadruple the dosage of my meds over the course of it. I seem to be stable now so I am getting back to work immediately. In the screenshot I am messing around with getting a test room set up to figure out how things will look and what effects I can have the slimes generate with.
There's ballmun, this fucker here is about measuring for our new humanoid sprite.
I made some voxel jack'o'lanterns and am using them as light sources for me to test different lighting effects and volumetric fog as well as environmental illumination.
I have been working on Geruterra more or less the whole time of course. Currently in the process of working out the art style with a friend who might come on to the project as a collaborator, maybe a team member. He's an artist and that would take a lot of the weight off me while I rebuild the character loaders and controllers for the 3D world refit.
Back to work Monday, for now I am just doing some planning and project management stuff. I've been messing around with the 3D world and working on getting the game server software...s deployed on our dev server. Currently having issues with my object store, gonna have to write an access policy for it as it turns out. Well, prevents technical debt and secures things so sure. Just probably gonna take me a while to figure out the formatting of the config again...
Anyway... Yeah. Back, not dead. Getting back to work again. Sorry for the last year.
Somehow interested in this project and want to get in touch?
Here's the yarrdev discord, where I am doing my planning and development as to allow for collaboration with other developers, artists, writers, designers, testers, then eventually GMs. There will be a Geruterra server for the game itself where players can talk to staff and each-other but we wont be needing that for a while.
Uhhh yeah, back to work I go.
